I Am A Blessed One (Count Your Blessings)
Blessed Woman
I am a BLESSED woman,
Loved beyond measure,
A love that counts not the number
But the depth of every embrace.
My family, a tapestry of cultures,
Languages that dance across the globe,
Spaces we share, though miles apart.
I’ve wandered, not everywhere,
But where I’ve stepped,
Inspiration bloomed,
Shaping me,
Filling the cracks of my life,
With the love that makes me whole.
Yes, I am blessed.
I am a BLESSED woman,
By mercy’s grace,
Despite the stumbles and falls,
Imperfections that mar the journey.
Yet, those who love me,
Lift me from the ashes,
Reminding me of who I am meant to be.
And love, oh how it flows,
Touching the sky,
Then fall back to earth,
For the ones I love,
Love me right back.
In this, I am blessed.
I am a BLESSED woman,
Grateful beyond words,
For the moments that love
Has etched upon my soul,
Pushing me to rise,
To be better than yesterday’s self.
In trust and respect,
I’ve built a life,
Knowing that we can be
So much more.
Integrity, ethics—they matter,
But TRUTH is the light,
Even when its glare is hard to bear.
Yet still, I am blessed. ~ P. K. McCary © 2024
